Freedom Programme and White Ribbon Day

While WHAG were delivering the Freedom Programme in the Wigan area, it was suggested by the service users that they were not aware of the services offered within the Wigan area by agencies.  Staff members suggested at the end of the programme an information sharing day could be arranged and other agencies within Wigan could be invited to celebrate White Ribbon Day.

WHAG felt the service users gained valuable knowledge and gained confidence through their journey of the Freedom Programme.   It was important to recognise how well the service users had done, by giving certificates to them.

On the last day of the Freedom Programme (27th November 2015), WHAG invited agencies such as Solicitors, Housing, Gateway, IDVA and Complex needs services, to talk about their roles, and encouraged the service users to ask questions, this was incorporated in order for WHAG and the service user to celebrate White Ribbon day.
