On the morning of Saturday, August 12th, an intrepid team of WHAG staff will be taking the plunge – literally – to raise money for WHAG and SpringHill hospice.
The event, which is being organised by the Council’s Number One Riverside – Giving Back charity, will see members of WHAG staff abseil down Rochdale town hall’s clock tower.
The tower is 190 feet tall, and abseilers will have a birds’ eye view of the town centre as they make their descent.
The money raised through sponsorship will be passed to Number One Riverside – Giving Back, to be added to other funds raised through the event. Proceeds will be split equally between WHAG and Springhill Hospice.

The event is part of Rochdale Feel Good Festival and abseiling will be taking place on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th. There are places left, so if you’d like to abseil and raise money yourself, contact the organisers.
