Do you know anyone that would like to run the London Marathon and raise funds for WHAG?
WHAG have been fortunate enough to obtain a charity place in the London Marathon (23rd April 2017) and are looking for someone who would be interested in running the marathon while raising funds for WHAG.
WHAG are looking for £1000 sponsorship for the place.
WHAG offer a high-quality valuable service to vulnerable, homeless women across the North West and women and men who are experiencing or have experienced Domestic Abuse across the North West. Support from people can help us make a real difference today and help to support our clients tomorrow.
Some of the people that we support do not have any belongings or have very little. A guide of an idea of the cost of some of the items we provide are below:-
£30 can buy a bedding pack (duvet, pillow, sheet, duvet set and teddy) empowering our clients to provide a warm, safe comfortable place to sleep for their children
£40 can buy an emergency night time packs for children moving into our refuges (pyjamas, slippers, book, toiletries) ensuring that children are warm, clean and loved when they need it most
£50 can buy a kitchen starter set (microwave, plates & cutlery) empowering our clients to cook for themselves and families
£50 can buy a family home security packs to ensure their safety as everyone deserves the right to feel safe and secure
£50 can fund a counselling session for an adult or a play therapist in school holidays.
